Two years ago, Brazilian guitarist Yamandu Costa made his debut at our festival with a solo recital at the Conservatori del Liceu that left us stunned and wanting much more. And that much more is now here: when Costa's extraordinary guitar is combined with the wonderful voice of Portuguese António Zambujo, the result is Prenda minha, a newly released album that is a lesson in subtlety and harmony, intimacy and closeness. It is beauty whispered in a world filled with screams and insolence. Portuguese and Brazilian repertoire, along with some forays into Spanish songs, make up a recital that promises to be majestic on our main stage, the Palau de la Música Catalana. Once again, we are in for a beautiful lesson in life.
