Arte Flamenco

Flamenco is a dance and a musical style originally from Andalucía in the south of Spain. The way it is performed today comes from the 17th century and maintains the same cultural integrity in both the music and the dance from that time. The dance, musicians and song are de most important aspects of the flamenco style. Flamenco is a performing art recognized by UNESCO as a cultural inheritance since November 2010.

First part of the concert: selection of the most representative flamenco numbers and styles from our usual show.

Second part of the concert: La senda del destino (The path of destiny) is the most recent work by master flamenco guitarist Rafael Fernández. This album is based on the idea that destiny influences our lives in unavoidable ways, and that we must accept it as it comes. The key is to extract the best of what happens, learn, improve and thank the universe for allowing us to do so.
