A cornerstone of our festival for decades, the spirit of La Locomotora Negra remains very present. Following the concert proposed by the Sant Andreu Jazz Band in 2022, Passing the Torch, it is now the Barcelona Jazz Orquestra (BJO) that wants to pay tribute to La Locomotora. For this, the BJO will feature three great soloists from the currently inactive big band: its leader, Ricard Gili, and Marc Trepat and Toni Gili. The concert will combine, as they themselves have explained, original compositions by its members with great jazz classics that have marked milestones in the history of big band music. All of this will be supported by the BJO, the first professional stable big band in Catalonia, formed by leading figures in jazz from our region (see the lineup...). An orchestral night of apotheosis at the Palau de la Música Catalana, recalling great names in jazz such as Count Basie, Duke Ellington, and Lionel Hampton, among many others.

IMPORTANT: Minors under 16 years of age may only access the venue accompanied by their father, mother or legal guardian. It is essential to present the Responsibility Sheet (see attached documents) duly printed and completed.
